The development and application of technologies, measures and standards improves behavior understanding, fire prevention and control to improve fire fighting operations and equipment, fire suppression, fire safety, fire investigations and disaster response.
We need to focus on using technology to assess risk and minimize responders’ engagement, on to forecast and simulate complex scenarios. We need to obtain technological tools to support data sharing and means to help us getting a clear picture of the risk evolution.

A research and development project using turbine technology for rescue and firefighting operations was initiated by the State Fire Service. The concept of using turbine engines in fire protection for such events as great fires of forests, large-volume facilities and technological installations, especially in the petrochemical and chemical industries, has been known since the early 1960s.
Putting out rail vehicles is not a light, easy and pleasant task. The main threat and difficulty in the implementation of the tactical intention of the conducted action is the presence of high voltages of the overhead contact line supplying the devices and driving elements. It might seem that it is absolutely unacceptable to supply water or foam before disconnecting the power supply – but is it really?
Aamks is an open source, web-based platform for assessing the fire safety of humans in buildings. Aamks runs hundreds of fire simulations (CFAST) and evacuation simulations (Aamks.Evac) and then evaluates the results. In each simulation humans are moving across the building and are affected by fire and smoke.
